DCSA Publishes COVID-19 NISP Guidance

On March 30, 2020, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency ("DCSA," formerly known as the Defense Security Service) published a three-page document, COVID-19 NISP Guidance, on how it is continuing operations and oversight during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The DCSA guidance covers the following topics:


  • Facility Clearance (FCL) Processing

  • Personnel Security

  • Administrative Debriefs

  • Refresher Training

  • Security Reviews

  • Safeguarding

  • End-of-Day Checks

  • DSCA Approved Closure Areas

  • Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF)

  • Transmission

  • Authorized Information Systems

  • Assess and Authorize Activities (DAAPM 2.1)

  • Audit Variances (DAAPM 12)
